It’s a big game for…

Mark Noble: The Irons captain was a steadying influence in the middle of the park last term, with his measured passing, commitment in the tackle and eye for a goal crucial to his team’s success. He has yet to hit the same heights this season, and Slaven Bilic will be hoping that Noble rediscovers his best form in the coming weeks.

Best stat…

The London Stadium’s average attendance for 2016/2017 is the eighth-highest in European football.

Remember when…

Stoke went into a two-goal lead after 56 minutes but goals from Enner Valencia and Stewart Downing snatched a point for the away side at the Britannia Stadium back in November 2014.

Player to watch...

Wilfried Bony. The Ivorian now has a considerable monkey off his back with the double that he netted against Swansea on Monday night. He still hasn’t recaptured the form that made him so feared by defences the league over, but it would not be surprising to see him go on a run now.

Predicted teams...

West Ham (3-4-2-1): Adrián; Kouyaté, Collins, Ogbonna; Fernandes, Noble, Obiang, Cresswell; Lanzini, Payet; Antonio.

Stoke (4-2-3-1): Grant; Bardsley, Shawcross, Martins Indi, Pieters; Whelan, Adam; Sobhi, Allen, Arnautovic; Bony.

Past three meetings…

Stoke 2 (Imbula, Diouf) West Ham 1 (Antonio), Premier League, May 2016

West Ham 0 Stoke 0, Premier League, December 2015

West Ham 1 (Cresswell) Stoke 1 (Arnautovic), Premier League, April 2015
