Graft-charge mayor says he is broke
Grenoble - The former mayor of Nice, Jacques Mdecin, who went on trial for corruption, told a Grenoble court that he was broke. Mdecin, 66, a right-winger nicknamed "King Jacques" during the 24 years he ran the French Riviera city, who was extradited from Uruguay, said he was pleased at the chance to defend himself against the corruption charges.
