Every girl worth their weight in Prada knows that the latest arrival on Bond Street will be an extra special stop on the shopping trail. Holly Davies goes to shop at Miu Miu.

Miu Miu, which has long been the most convertible of the diffusion labels, has opened on the most pricey street in London, Bond Street. The shop opened on Sunday with a funny little English tea party, the mini scones were served with jam and cream and oversized strawberries. Situated opposite Calvin Kleins' CK store, it's sure to give all the other drab and dreary beige labels on Bond Street a run for their money, a whole world of raspberry pink is sure to brighten up anyone's day.

Baby sister to Prada, Miu Miu offers the same design quality at a fraction of the price. Miu Miu, short for Miuccia, mother of both labels, is becoming the only realistic answer to affordable high fashion. As with Prada, the range of shoes seems to be the most convertible item, often selling out within hours, and seen for months after on the creme de la creme of celebrities. Fans include Carolyn Bessett Kennedy, Drew Barrymore, Katie Puckrick and Anna Friel and every fashion editor under the sun. This seasons must haves are the red cotton pedal pushers, pounds 100 fuchsia pink metallic leather shopper, pounds 155 and matching Minnie Mouse style shoes, pounds 120. This will surely be a shop to keep your eye on although the official collections arrive twice a year the ranges are continually updated with infiltrated items.

Miu Miu, 123 Bond Street, London W1, enquiries 0171-409 0900.
